I find footstool ottomans a super interesting piece of furniture for how versatile they can be…. as a side table, coffee table, footrest while you are binging through your favourite Netflix series, extra seating for unexpected guests or as a side table next to your bed. I have also seen customer using them just because the fabric colour they chose worked well with their paining.

I started BOBINEK with upcycled ottomans which I would find on the side of the road but as the business grew and customers wanted their specific sizes and shapes I stared making Artisan new pieces.

But that was not the only reason, I would go and see other retailers but I would always end up frustrated for only seeing dull and boring colours.

I make all the ottomans myself from a workshop in Sydney. Every ottoman has unique story and personality of its own. Transparency, eco-materials, bright and happy fabrics designed by Australian or international artists.

BOBINEK’s mission is to make footstool ottomans into a superstar in any room using vibrant, colourful and happy fabrics that will make you happy just to talk past it.

BOBINEK is very me! Just like the name, it means "ottoman" in Czech and that is where I am from. I was born in Prague in the Czech Republic. All I learnt about the design, arts and the architecture while living in Prague, I brought to Australia in 2002. I call Australia home.
