I love working with fabrics, when picking a fabric for a stool, I let it speak to me. I try different fabric designs and colours until it feels right. Fabrics that I use and upholster ottomans with, especially Aboriginal fabric, I like to know who designed them and what they mean. Before, I used to use fabrics from no-name artists but it felt a bit empty and meaningless.

It feels right to know who designed them and what they mean. With this in mind, all fabric artists I work with and used in making fabric ottomans in Australia get their fair share and they are paid and acknowledged for their hard work.

Most of the fabrics I use are print on demand. Only what I order is is used, no more excess meters and rolls.
