This entry way upcycled bench combines classic details with pastel upholstery fabric to create a piece that stands out wherever you add it. Made from solid bamboo, it works perfectly as an extra seat in your living room or hallway and as a shoe rack. 

I have been finding these bamboo hallway seats/shoe racks tossed on the streets in Sydney quite a lot recently. They have been popping out, which is good for me but not for the environment. I have acquired a few of these by purchasing too. 

For this particular bench seat, I sanded its bamboo frame lightly and varnished it with a clear finish. The upholstered top was entirely redone(new foam layers and dacron). I removed the old fabric cover which I replaced with a new fabric.

  • Filling: Dacron (polyester batting). Australia Made High-Density Foam with a 5-year warranty.
  • Assembly: Yes, legs just need to be screwed in.

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive materials. Protect from direct sunlight. Store in a clean and dry area when not in use.

Fabric pilling can occasionally occur as a result of normal daily wear and should not be considered a flaw.
